my successful story I am A. Gomathi. I lived in Thurinchipattu village. Due to my family situation I was forced to do work in the lands. But I want to read and I was anxious to read. But I hadn’t got the opportunity to fulfill my thirst of education. But to solve my thirst, I was unfortunately happened to meet Mr.K. Selvaraj who is running KGBV Residential School in Thirupalapanthal under SSA scheme. He explained all the benefits of the school and convinced my parents and taken me to the KGBV Residential school, Thirupalapanthal. I had admitted in the class 6th in the academic year 2007 -2008. There I was able to solve my thirst of education and I was also able to experience comfortable and happy living. I had got all the things to study like pen, pencil, scale, sharpner, eraser, Black pen, uniforms and so on , all the things to reside like bed spread, bed sheet, pillow, box, bucket, mug, plate and so on, all the cosmetic items like bath soap, washing soap, shampoo, paste, brush, oil, powder and so on… I have also learned tailoring, arts work, computer, sports, yoga, dance and so on…. I have got the best education and best living in this KGBV Residential School. I had completed my 8th standard in the academic year 2009-2010. Then I was admitted 9th standard in Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Manalmedu by NGO. There I had completed my school education and I had completed my 12th standard with good percentage. Then I had completed my under graduation in SKSS arts and science college, Thirupanandha. I had chosen B.Sc. Physics as my UG degree. Now Successfully I am doing my first year B.Ed in Annai Pathima College of Education, Kumbakonam. I will complete my B.Ed., with good percentage. I will also help to solve the thirst of many children’s education. I am very grateful and thankful to the SSA Scheme, KGBV Residential School and NGO Mr.K. Selvaraj, and also to my teachers.

She used to go to work (cooli) daily. One day, while I was going to work in a land, I saw a car. In that car, a man and a women were came and they said they were from KGBV Residential School, Thirupalapanthal. After they told me that the man was Mr.K. Selvaraj, NGO of the School and the women was teacher from KGBV Residential School, Thirupalapanthal. They called me and asked me “Are you studying? Which class are you studying?” I told them that I am not studying. They asked me to come with them and they will make me to study in their KGBV Residential School, Thirupalapanthal. Then I had taken them to my parents. Then the teacher and NGO Mr. K. Selvaraj had explained the various benefits of the school and asked my parents to send me to school. But my parents had taken time to accept the offer. Then my brother came there and asked about the school and then accepted to send me to school. After that my parents also accepted to send me to school. When I heard that I am going to study in school, I was started fly in the sky. Then I said bye to all my relation and parents and came to the heaven that is KGBV Residential School, Thirupalapanthal. Then I started my schooling journey in KGBV Residential School in the year 2010- 2011. While I am studying in KGBV, I had got lot of benefits with free cost. The NGO had given new dresses to Diwali, Pongal and even to my Birthday. While I am going to home for Diwali, I was given with the crackers box (not only for me but for everyone). I had celebrated my birthday by cutting cake which was most memorable day in my life. I experienced the joy and pleasant life and great education in this KGBV Residential School, Thirupalapanthal. While I am studying in this school, I was able to visualize my development and future in an amaze. While I am studying in this school, I was given with Pen, Pencil, Geometry box, Eraser, Scale, Sharpner and so on as an assistance to my Education, and for comfortable residence I was provided with Bed spread, Bed Sheet, Pillow, Uniforms, Bucket, Mug, Towel and so on. I was provided with cosmetic items like Lifebuoy Soap, Meenu Washing Soap, Shampoo, Powder, Paste, Brush, comb and so on. And in the academic side, another than formal education, I was also learned Vocational Education, Computer Education, Physical Education, Dance, Karate and Yoga. I learned to stitch clothes, create innovation things, creating baskets and so on …. Now I was able to stitch all types of clothes. Even My brother told me to buy a Tailoring Machine and stitch cloth. Now I am able to earn by creating Baskets and selling it. In Physical Education, I was learned lot of games including ring ball, shuttle cork, foot ball, shot put, disk throw and so on. Computer Education is one of my favourite subjects. I was able to work and do magic’s in computer. I had experienced luxurious life style in this KGBV Residential School comparing to my family situation. In this school, I was able to get good and sufficient food and hot food on time and evening snacks. I slept in cot and on the whole I was lived and learned in Garden of Heaven. After finishing 8th standard in the year 2012-2013, I was in the force to leave the school. I really missed the school, NGO sir and my teachers very much. Then I continued my 9th standard in the nearby GHSS, Thirupalapanthal. I had completed my 12th standard with 850 marks. I felt very happy and after I was decided to join Diploma Nursing. So I had joined in National Institute of Science and Technology in Tiukoilur. Successfully I had completed my 1st year. Now I am studying my 2nd year. Now I am in training session, so I am now getting my training in Akbar Ali Hospital, Tirukoilur. There I am doing my training well. I have got great appreciation and applause for my dedicating service. I will successfully complete my training and will get my certificate and will render my service to the people with utmost care. For my life, for my education and for my successful story the seed was sown by NGO Mr. K. Selvaraj and the teachers of KGBV Residential who were working under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme. Now the seed was grown as a tree and soon it will lend its fruit to everyone. If I was not identified by NGO Mr.K. Selvaraj and teachers of KGBV Residential, now I may be a wife to someone or may be a worker to some landowner. But my life has taken its turning point in the KGBV Residential School, Thirupalapanthal. For my great and successful life I am presenting and devoting and dedicating my whole hearted thanks to SSA, KGBV Residential School and NGO Mr.K. Selvaraj and all the teachers who had educated me the life.
A.Sasikala d/o Ammasi, T. Phudhupalayam village and post, Tirukoilur Taluk, Viluppuram District. I am A. Sasikala. My father is S. Ammasi, My mother is A. Manjula. There are 5 members in my family. My sister name is A. Sharmila, My brother name is A.Ayyappan. My native place is T. Puthupalayam. I studied in Panchayat union Middle School, T. Pudhupalayam from 1st standard to 5th standard. As I haven’t studied well, my parents stopped my education. With the help of my relatives I was able to admit in KGBV Residential School, Thirupalapanthal. While I was in my Village, I don’t have anyone to care for me and care for my education. But in KGBV, I had teachers, friends to care for me and care for my education, so I was able to read. They helped me to study by taking morning class and allotting study time to me. I was in the list of slow learners while studying 6th standard. But in the mid of 6th standard I started to read well. After that I studied well and got good marks. Then I passed to 7th standard and studied well. I also got interest in sports and went to many places for tournament which helped me to gain general knowledge. Not only education, I also excelled in Sports. I got opportunity to go to tour through NGO every year. I had participated in speech, drama and dance competition and won prizes. During my 8th standard I used to take good marks. I had been happiest bird in the garden of KGBV Residential School, Thirupalapanthal. My class teacher was Radha miss. She used to help for my studies. I also went to Kalvarayan Hills to perform dance in Summer Festival. Then I was admitted in 9th standard in Angavai Sangavai Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Tirukoilur. I also studied well and promoted to 10th standard. I got appreciation from my teachers that I am reading well. I have scored 421 marks in my 10th standard. In my 11th standard I chose Accounts group. I liked that group and studied well. My ambition and passion is to be a part in police department. So after completing my 12th standard, I started to march towards my ambition. So I am taking coaching and practice for police examination. I joined in Police training centre in Kosapalayam. Now I am going to write exam on March 11, 2018. I am very confident that I will get selected and will render my service to the people through police department by being a part in it. I am grateful to SSA scheme, KGBV Residential School, NGO and to my teachers.
