The Special Residential School was for the special children who are called Gypsy. The people who are suffering a lot for proper education were provided with education with residential support.
In an effort of Special way SRC Residential School was started in T.Keeranur for Gypsy student on 04-08-2006 with 25 students. The Gypsy, the primitive tribal people were suffered a lot without having formal education. To remove them from such predicament and ensure their educational right we started SRC Residential School which was widely welcomed by General Public and Our initiative definitely change the tribal community into educated one.
From 01-07-2007 onwards 50 students were studying in our school. The requirement of educational, daily living needs, facilities are provided to our students by our society under SSA Scheme. This Centre was successfully run by our Service Society for 3 years. The program aims at transforming the uninformed tribal society in to enlightened one as they are socially side lived and stick up on their tradition and cultural contribution, they are now come out of their shells, and inhale the freedom of civic rights, socialization process.
We can proudly say that the tribal community slowly comes out of traditional blind belief, life style against un scientific fact, looking bad omen, ill-treatment of women, preferably widow expectant mother who are forced to give child birth at their service. We strongly believe today’s tribal children will be tomorrows leader of society.
