ANNAI THERASA SAMUGA SEVAI SANGAM under SSA had functioned Residential centre for the drop out children of both gender. The school provided education and residence to the children of those who are unable to afford for their proper education.

In the year 2005-2006, our service Society had started Residential School in Madampoondi with 50 Students under SSA Scheme on 28-11-2005. This School was opened by MR.S. Kannapan, Chief Educational Officer, Viluppuram district.

Apart from formal education they are taught co-curricular and extracurricular activities to the students. And also they are provided scholastic support and daily living needs like uniform, School bag, Mat, Pillow, Bed sheet, Towel, Note, Pen, Pencil, Eraser, Geometry Box, Color Pencil, Box, Plate, Glass, Chapel, Sports things, Bath soap, Washing soap, Coconut oil, Powder and item wised Quality food and care under SSA Scheme.

The 50 students are mainstreamed into local school in the month of July 2007. It is our proudest moment as we have ensured the educational right of grass route level children hailed from poor strata and deserved.

During the year 2006-2007, Tirukovilur and Mugaiyur Block based Residential school was started with 100 students in Madampoondi by combining together on 04-08-2006 and on 01-09-2006. District Chief Educational Officer, District Coordinator, District Assistant project Officer, Block coordinator, Assistant Educational Officer and BRTE are visited this centre and appreciated our excellent service of fighting illiteracy, raising the literacy rate across the district.

These 100 students are mainstreamed in July 2007. In these students 60 of them were mainstreamed in to Vallalar Gurukulam, Nallan Pillai Petral Village, Tiruvannamalai District. And 40 of them were mainstreamed in to Harijana Seva Sangam Residential School, Tirukovilur.

In the subsequent year 2007-2008 also we have started Residential School in Madampoondi, Thirukovilur block successfully with 85 students while 63 in Mugaiyur block totally 148 students.

This centre was shifted from Madampoondi to 18, Karthikeyan nagar, Aasanur main road, Santhapet, Tirukovilur. The place was spacious to classroom, bed room, and play ground with all the facilities and eco friendly to suit the all round need of children to grow, study in happy atmosphere.

We have continued to challenge with 101 students in 2008-2009, 103 students in 2009-2010, 72 students in 2010-2011, 58 students in 2011-2012, 52 students in 2012-2013, 62 students in 2013-2014, totally 746 students were studied in our centre up to 2013-2014 and they are now studying in higher and higher secondary school without stagnation and drop out.

During the academic year 2014-2015 we run successfully RSTC residential school in Santhapet with 102 students (77 boys and 25 girls ) taught by 4 Subject teacher and other supplementary non teaching staffs.

Our school student had also done WORLD RECORD program took part in ASSIST WORLD RECORD which was organized by SSA on 4th January 2015 in Ramakrishna Matriculation School. In this function our student had done Group Record and bagged 102 Individual records in an excellent way. They all remarkably did well and got certificates. And our student also participated in Sports Competition and got Victory. Master V. Arun of 7th standard student had won second place in eating competition and got certificate plus medal, one S. Elumalai of 8th standard student had won second place in Gangaroo Race and got certificate plus Medal, E.Madhavan of 5th standard student had won 2nd place in Running race and got certificate and Medal, and one master S. Sathishkumar of 7th standard student had won 1st place in Material Collection timing game and got certificate and Medal. In this year (2015) our student sat for NMMS (National Means cum Merit Scholarship Examination).

The academic year 2015-2016 was started with the students of 92 and 4 subject teachers and with 3 supplementary staffs. The students are given with bucket, mug, towel, mat, pillow, bed sheet, uniforms, cosmetics and stationary for their comfortable residence and proper education. 5 students from our school participated and won certificates and medals in State level chess competition which was held in kallakurichi. Our school students of 8th standard sat for NMMS exam.

In the current academic year 2016-2017, RSTC was started with 92 students, 4 subject teachers and with 3 supplementary staffs. They are provided all the basic amenities and proper education with quality teachers.

We proudly say that our School used to give 100% result in every year, eventually this year also we will definitely give 100% result.
