KGBV RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL in Thirupalapanthal village, TIrukoilur taluk, Kallakurichi District was functioning under Samagra Shiksha Scheme. The School is for the drop out girl children from 6th standard to 8th standard. It provides formal Education and Residential to the students.
On appreciating our valued accomplishments we are granted SSA scheme KGBV Residential School. This School was declared and opened by Mr.P.Naresh, the Chief Educational Officer viluppuram district on 01-09-2007.
SSA Scheme had given KGBV Residential School meant for drop out students of 11 to 14 years girl children on 01-09-2007 to Our Service Society. Initially at first we have started KGBV Residential School with 50 students in Balakrishna Guest House, Sevalai Road, Tirukoviur. Then on 02-10-2007 this school was shifted to no.18,Karthikeyan Nagar, Aasanur main road, santhapet. Our school had initially started with 50 students (6th standard- 38 students, 7th standard -12 students) and 14 staffs (5 teaching staffs, 4 part time teachers, 5 supplementary staffs). Our school has been operating successfully.
During the year 2008-2009, our school had successfully started with 50 students with 14 staffs (5 teaching staffs, 4 part time teachers, 5 supplementary staffs). In this year 22 students were studied in 6th standard, 21 students were studied in 7th standard and 7 students studied in 8th students. At the end of this year 8th student 7 of them are passed with good marks. They were mainstreamed in to a regular school for their further study. They are supervised by us to continue their education properly.

Amutha ( d/o Kolanchi, Kanagandal, Keezhathazhanur post, Tirukovlur taluk) of this academic year student is now doing II year B.A. English in Arts and Science College, Tirukovilur. S. Sowntharya (d/o Shanmugam, Sunderesapuram, Sithalingamadam post, Tirukovilur taluk) of this academic year student had got 424 marks in 10th standard and got 725 marks in 12th standard (A2 Group).
On appreciating and recognizing our excellent service SSA Scheme had increased the strength of 50 into 100 in the year 2009-2010. After that this centre was shifted to Government building, located at GHSS Thirupalapandal Campus, Thirupalapandal. To cover and cater to need of increased children, an annexed building also built in this year. So the strength rose into 100 students and 15 staffs (5 teaching staffs, 5 part time teachers, 5 supplementary staffs). During the reporting period the classes VIII standard 15 of them are passed and excelled with good marks. These students are mainstreamed into regular school as per our strategy and supervised by us. These students are passed 12th standard with good marks and now joined in college.
One S. Sowmiya had got 734 marks in 12th standard and now studying I year B.Com with CA in Valliyammai Arts and Science College, Tirukovilur. M. Indhumathi secured 771 marks in 12th standard and now studying I year Diploma in Engineering in Government Polytechnic College, Arakandanallur. V. Semparuthi had got 614 marks in 12th standard and now studying I year B.Sc.Physics in Valliyammai Arts and Science College, Tirukovilur. A. Gomathi had got 571 marks in 12th standard and now studying I year B.Sc., Physics in SKSS Arts and Science college, Thirupananda. M. Radhika had got 762 marks in 12th standard and now studying I year Nursing in Mundiyampakkam and J. Bharathi had got 576 marks in 12th standard and now studying I year B.A. English in Thiruvalluvar Arts and Science college.
The academic year 2010-2011 well begun with 100 students and 16 staffs (5 teaching staffs, 5 part time teachers, 6 supplementary staffs). This year also among the class 8th standard students, 12 of them are passed with good marks. Now these students are sitting for 12th standard Government Public exam.
During the year 2011-2012, the school was successfully started with 100 students and 15 staffs (5 teaching staffs, 4 part time teachers, 6 supplementary staffs). This year also the class 8th standard students 28 of them are passed with good marks. They are mainstreamed into local school near and supervised by us. Now these students are studying 11th standard after passing 10th standard with good marks.
During the academic year 2012-2013, the school was successfully started with 100 students and 15 staffs (5 teaching staffs, 4 part time teachers, 6 supplementary staffs). This year also the class 8th standard students 48 of them are passed with good marks. They are mainstreamed into near school and are supervised by us. Now these students are writing 10th standard Public exam.
In the progressive year 2013-2014, the school was successfully started with 100 students and 15 staffs (5 teaching staffs, 4 part time teachers, 6 supplementary staffs). This year also the class 8th standard students 24 of them are passed with good marks. They are mainstreamed and supervised by us. Now these students are studying 9th standard.
P.Subashini, 8th standard student had passed in NMMS (National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examination) Exam. She is the only student passed in NMMS Exam in Viluppuram district level.
The academic year 2014-2015 was begun with 101 students and 14 staffs (5 teaching staffs, 3 part time teachers, 6 supplementary staffs). Our school student had participated in School level competition and got first place. Particularly in the last years our student had participated in chess competition and got 1st place and received certificates and medal which were organized in Kallukurichi.
Our school students, 101 of them are performed World record held on 4th January 2015 in Ramakrishna Matriculation School which was organized by SSA Scheme with ASSIST WORLD RECORD. In the wonderful opportunity, our student had done group record well and remarkable and bagged 101 individual records also. They all did well and got certificates and medal. And our student also participated and won sports competition. R. Gowri, 7th standard student had got 1 place in eating competition and got certificate and medal.
We are proud and feel great to inform you that in this year our school 8th standard student M.MEERA and M. ABIRAMI successfully won in the NMMS(National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examination) Exam and receiving scholarship of Rs.500/- per month.
The academic year 2015-2016 was begun with 100 students and 15 staffs (1-warden, 5 teaching staffs, 3 part time teachers, and 6 supplementary staffs). Our students are participated and won certificates and medals in State level chess competition which was held in Kallakurichi. To experience science in reality, our students are given scientific experience by making them visit botanical garden and planetarium in Pondicherry. Students are provided with white uniform, uniform, track suit, towel, shoe and socks for their proper dressing to get proper education with the peace of mind without feeling of their background. Our students are sat for the NMMS exam and presented their answer with more confidence. Our school was visited and got good remarks from RDO and State level visit official. Science exhibition and cultural and sports competition was conducted well and CEO and district and block official are visited and appreciated us for our remarkable performance.

This year also our students are applied for NMMS and they are eagerly waiting to show their talent in the NMMS exam.

The academic year 2020-2021 was begun with 100 students and 15 staffs 1-warden, 5 teaching staffs, 3 part time teachers, and 6 supplementary staffs). Our school has successfully conducted online classes for the student as there was an inconvenience due to COVID 19. Coaching for NMMS exam was also conducted through online mode. Wall Painting Competition was conducted to the students and Prizes were given.
The academic year 2021-2022 was begun with 100 students and 15 staffs 1-warden, 5 teaching staffs, 3 part time teachers, and 6 supplementary staffs). Our school has successfully conducted online classes for the student as there was an inconvenience due to COVID 19. KALVI TV and Home teaching, Whatsapp teaching, Conference call teaching were followed by our teachers to teach the students.
From 2007 onwards our charity had rendered its commendable service to fulfill all needs and requirements of the student under the SSA Scheme. Since 2007, 323 students are studied in our school and they are mainstreamed into nearby school and they are under our close monitoring guidance to redeem them from drop out and stagnation. We have strong hope that this year also our school students will give 100% result.
Student who studied in our school are now being shining in their life. We are proudly note that Chithra (d/o Annamalai, native of Sunderasapuram, Sithalingamadam post, Tirukovilur taluk)hailed from MBC community and girl of poor strata had studied B.Sc.Nursing in vadalur. Now she is working as a Staff Nurse in Apollo Hospital, T. nagar, Chennai. She is earning 15,000 per month. An another shining star Savithri (d/o Elumalai, residing at Sunderesapuram, Sithalingamadam, Tirukovilur taluk) had finished 12th standard in Angavai Sangavai Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Tirukovilur, and took Diploma Nursing and finished B.A., English Literature. Now she is working as a Chief Advisor in Free medical Scheme which was introduced by our highly esteemed The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in Mahalakshmi Hospital, Ulundurpet where She is earning 15,000/-.
