KGBV RESIDENTICAL SCHOOL was functioning under Samagra Shiksha Scheme in Koothanur Village, Kallakurichi district, Tamil Nadu. It is a School for the drop out girl children. The School provides education with residence.
Respected Mr.R.Murugan, the Chief Education Officer had paid visit to our KGBV Residential School, Thirupalapandal, and RSTC Residential School, santhapet. After his frequent visits he recognised our excellent service. As a result of his appreciation he annexed KGBV Residential School (type II) which was already run by Saradha Ashram, Ulundurpet. This school was declared and opened by MR.R.Murugan, the Chief Education Officer on 06-07-2013 in Elavanasur kottai, Ulundurpet Block.
At the fall of this academic year 21 of them from the class 8th standard are passed with good marks. They were mainstreamed and monitored by us. Now they are studying 9th standard in regular stream of school education.
The current academic year 2014-2015 well begun successfully, started with 50 students and 11 staffs (5 subject teacher, 3 part time teacher and 3 supplementary staff).
Among our school students 50 of them are performed World record wonderfully held on 4th January 2015 in Ramakrishna Matriculation School which was organized by SSA Scheme under ASSIST WORLD RECORD. In this our student had set out group record and 50 individual records also. They all did well and got certificates and medal. And our student also participated and won in sports competition. During the academic year also our student took part NMMS (National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examination) Exam.
The academic year 2015-2016 begun with 51 students and 5 teachers, 3 part time teachers and 4 supplementary staffs. Our students are participated and won certificates and medals in State level chess competition which was held in Kallakurichi. To experience science in reality, our students are given scientific experience by making them visit botanical garden and planetarium in Pondicherry. Students are provided with white uniform, uniform, track suit, towel, shoe and socks for their proper dressing to get proper education with the peace of mind without feeling of their background. Our students are sat for the NMMS exam and presented their answer with more confidence.
The academic year 2016-2017 was begun with 50 students and 12 staffs (5 teaching staffs, 3 part time teachers, and 4 supplementary staffs). Our school has successfully conducted cultural and sports competition and science exhibition and got appreciation from block supervisor, coordinator and teachers from nearby schools. They are provided with karate dress, guide dress, sports dress, towel, bucket, mug, shoe and socks. They are given comfortable residence and quality education. This year also our students are applied for NMMS and they are eagerly waiting to show their talent in the NMMS exam. We hope that our student will win.

The academic year 2020-2021 was begun with 50 students and 12 staffs (5 teaching staffs, 3 part time teachers, and 4 supplementary staffs). Our school has successfully conducted online classes for the student as there was an inconvenience due to COVID 19. Coaching for NMMS exam was also conducted through online mode. Wall Painting Competition was conducted to the students and Prizes were given.
The academic year 2021-2022 was begun with 50 students and 12 staffs (5 teaching staffs, 3 part time teachers, and 4 supplementary staffs). Our school has successfully conducted online classes for the student as there was an inconvenience due to COVID 19. KALVI TV and Home teaching, Whatsapp teaching, Conference call teaching were followed by our teachers to teach the students.
