For the benefit of rural people, ATSSS has conducted FREE EYE CAMP in Tirukoilur with the help of Ramana Maha Rishi Eye Hospital and DIstrict Eye Care Unit. ATSSS has coordinated this big camp. 253 were tested, 63 were fixed with eye transplant lenses, Large number of people were given with VITAMIN A Tablet for improving vision.
We provided Entrepreneur Trainings to more than 300 Self Help Group members from Tirukoilur and Rishivandiyam blocks. We select interested person of 15 nos from each group. The Financial assistance ot organise this programme was extended by both DRDA, Villupuram and THATCO, Villupuram. On completion of the programme we distribute certificates signed by project officer, Tamil Nadu, Women development department and concern officers to the participants. This training programme was organised with the duration of 7 days.
This awareness generation programmes were organised by our ATSSS with the duration of 10 days in 3 phases, 1st program at community centre at Ariyur, II programme at Block Development Office, Rishivandiyam as exposure visit to participating women.At the time of completion of this 10 days programme, the special officer, Mrs. Lakshmi, Dist. Central co-op Bank, Villupuram, Block Development Officers of concerned blocks, Block Chairman, Secretary of PACB, Ariyur and seerpanandal villages were participated as resource persons. With special reference to polio eradication programme, we organize polio eradication programme in coordination with the health department in Koovanur and adjoining villages on 02/12/2001 and 20/01/2002 two days, more numbers of children in the age group of under 5 age were benefited through this programme

Womens day celebration was celebrated at our premises. About 250 women sangha members , General public were the participants. Senior Advocate Mrs.Padmavathy, Womens, Rotarians, Local panchayat leaders, Chairman of Tirukoilur Block were the Special invitee and chaired the function.To derive the human resources, personal developments competitions in special talents, sports, games activities, was conducted. Prizes were distributed to inner by the chairman of Mugaiyur Block.

TAILORING training was provided by ATSSS with the financial assistance of THATCO, DRDA, TNCDW It provided training and Rs.350 as stipend per month. Since 1994, ATSSS has been running Tailoring center at No.127, West street, Thirukoilur for the development of rural educated girls and women. It is of six month training.. apart from this , one month training by DRDA on decriptive knowledge on cutting and tailoring was provided. More than 1500 women and girls are benefited.
